]]>Young people can access Antenatal Clinic Services from 8 weeks gestation, via General Practitioner (GP) referral or via self-referral (with or without the support of a Worker).
A Social Worker is available at the Antenatal Clinic on Thursdays.
Child Birth Education Services
Child Birth Education Services run 4 times a year and give important information about the birth of the baby and caring for the baby after they’re born. Referral is through Antenatal Clinic Services.
One on one Antenatal Support
For young people who are pregnant and would like one on one support in relation to pregnancy, labour, feeding and caring for your baby. Young people can self-refer to this service themselves or with support from a parent or worker, or they can be referred via Antenatal Clinic Services.

]]>It is preferred that young people have a past history of being a patient of the clinic but if they have no prior history of attending the Clinic, they are still welcome to attend to discuss options.
Young people aged 16+ can access the service independently (without a parent or legal guardian). They are required to have a Medicare number (they don’t have to physically present the card, as long as they have the number). If the young person is unable to access their Medicare number, Nightingale Clinic staff may be able to access details of their Medicare number for them if they are able to provide identification (ID).
It is preferred that young people under the age of 15 be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian or other responsible adult such as a relative, social worker or school support person.
If a young person is under the age of 15 and does not have an adult available to accompany them, they can talk to the staff about options.
