Education, one to one support and courses are available to individuals wishing to give up tobacco smoking.  This includes assessing your smoking behaviour, identifying your triggers, dealing with withdrawal symptoms and information on Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT), such as gum, patches, lozenges, mouth spray and the inhalator.

The best way to maximise the chances of quitting is:

Support (MDHS, GP, Quitline) + Nicotine Replacement Products (eg patches, lozenges, mouth spray)

Contact MDHS General Intake: 5461 0333, press 1 to be put through to Community Services and ask to speak to the Intake Worker.  Or call;
